NTRU and Texas Instruments to Conduct Demonstration of Secure Wireless on TI's OMAP Processor Platform at 2002 RSA Conference

Small, Fast Encryption with TI's OMAP Processors Enables Secure Real-Time Applications on Next-Generation Wireless Devices

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2002-- NTRU, the only provider of strong security that fits everywhere, will conduct a demonstration with Texas Instruments, Incorporated (TI) at the 2002 RSA Conference. The demonstration, which showcases NTRU's next-generation security technology with TI's OMAP(TM) processors for 2.5G and 3G mobile phones, wireless personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile Internet appliances, can be viewed at NTRU's booth, #521, at the 2002 RSA Conference in San Jose, February 18-22.

"Security and improved user experience are key enablers for the proliferation of wireless data services. Our collaboration delivers both. TI is the market leader in high performance semiconductor wireless solutions, which enables the next generation of wireless applications. NTRU's security technology enables TI's OMAP processors to deliver strong security without performance degradation or delay, and without increased power consumption," said NTRU CEO Scott Crenshaw.

NTRU delivers strong, fast security that operates with minimal power consumption and fits into a tiny footprint. Completely transparent on TI's OMAP processors, NTRU's security helps mobile device users enjoy secure delivery of real-time applications such as streaming video.

"NTRU has developed security technology that overcomes the power and size constraints of wireless devices and provides a security solution with benefits for developers and consumers alike," stated David Potts, worldwide applications manager for TI's OMAP platform. "TI is committed to working with NTRU to drive the proliferation of secure wireless communications using TI's OMAP processors."

The demonstration features DMOD's secure digital media collaboration and distribution software. DMOD's software takes advantage of TI's OMAP processor platform and NTRU's public-key cryptography to help content creators securely share digital media files across all types of networks including wireless and the public Internet.
